So last Friday was Chip's first soccer game and I'm not sure who was more excited, me, Tony, or Chip. We showed up for our first game with sneakers, shin guards, tall socks, shorts and our shirt and a whole lot of anticipation and excitement. At this age, score doesn't matter, and winning doesn't matter, just the kids having fun, not getting hurt, and learning the basics. I told someone, that if we could just escape with no broken fingers from him picking the ball up while another kid kicked it, and with Chip wanting to go back next week, we would consider it a success. Well, a success it was. We had no broken bones, Chip had the time of his life, and he loved his coach and teammates. It was in fact, a case of 'kill the man with the ball' and they played on short fields but gosh how fun! Loving being in PA so far, and this was a first in Chip's life that I never would have imagined would have happened in Pennsylvania, but what fun it was! Enjoy the pictures!
