I know... i'm officially known as the worst blogger ever! HOWEVER, there has been a little chaos in my life lately and i'm just going to use that as my excuse and stick to it! :-). here are the much anticipated and wanted pictures of chip over the last few months. He is 5 months and weighed in at 12 lbs and 24 1/2 inches long at his 4 month check up. Shots this time were MUCH better and he is learning new things every day. He has started giggling, rolling over from front to back and is any day from rolling over from back to front. He can pull his passy out and in on his own, hold on to toys, reach for toys, and attempts to put everything that he can get his hands on and some things that he can just get close in his mouth. The bottom two teeth are STILL not in even though we are ready and waiting! His first Thanksgiving was spent at Gigi and Papa's house with the family and then the weekend was spent mending mommy from a MISERABLE tummy bug she caught on Friday. We were supposed to have Chip Baptized on Sunday the 30th but based on the tummy bug, that got cancelled. Things are great and the Lord is moving in our lives and doing some really big things. We're looking for direction and seeking his will every day. Daddy is doing great in school and other than that, i think that's pretty caught up! enjoy the pictures. what a past few weeks!!

So i've been moving my store and rearranging my entire home due to all of it! it has just been nuts lately! Howard and Dana have had their baby, Elayne Klareese Hornsby "Laynie" and she is beautiful. so we've been buys focusing on them too lately. We hope that all is well with you all. CHips is doing fabulous! Last night was his first night eating cereal and what an experience that was! He got more on his face and bib than in his tummy but we are just learning how to eat so it was a success since he didn't scream his head off! Lol... perspective these days! Anyway, so he has laughed just a few times but we got the first time on the video camera. that was tons of fun. i have a million pictures that i need to post but for now i've not got much time but i wanted to update everyone and let you all know that we're all still alive and all but just really busy and crazy. We are having Chip baptized on the 30th of November for all the family and friends that reads this! Please know you are all invited and we'd love to have you all! we'll post pictures later but for now much love and laughter to you all!

Our first big scare

So last night was a great night... Chip was happy, all was good. He and I got in the big bath together and decided we should do it more often! He smiled and kicked around, splashed and just loved it! Tony got home and got in with us and it was just a ton of fun! We started to get a little cool so we went ahead and bathed Chip and then rinsed him all off and as i was getting out, i looked at Chip and he was just maroon in color all over and his eyes were all bugged out and he was what appeared to be holding his breath. I reached and snatched him out of Tony's lap and started beating him on the back to make him cough or just breath. Well then bubbles started coming out of his nose and mouth and at that, Tony flew out of the tub to go get a bubble syringe and suck his throat out. His lips and mouth were all blue-ish purple and then he finally coughed and mucus just flowed out of his mouth. I kept popping him on the back and then he coughed a good time, and started just WAILING... can we say "PEE MY PANTS!?!?!?" We think he just got a drop of water in his nose or throat and it choked him and then he got scared and held his breath. Well we let him cry so that he would be breathing the whole time he was crying all the while we put a diaper on him. After the diaper i had to leave the room and Tony finished putting his PJs on him. needless to say, it bothered US much more than it bothered HIM! I didn't sleep a wink and yet this little booger slept for his normal 7 hours and then decided to get up and nurse all the while i'm EXHAUSTED from worry. WOW... things like this i didn't get a notice about that came with being a mom. *P.S. we did talk to the pediatrician and she said he was fine to just be aware of water on his face. Some babies are more prone to breath in when water rolls down their face than others* So on that note, GaGa is coming in from Mobile in a few hours and i'm sure i'll have lots of pictues to post next week!

update

So my camera battery died and i couldn't load those pictures the other day. I did in fact go shopping and loved it! I got tons of cute stuff and am so glad! It is nice to have some fun new things in this new stage of my life.

We're all doing great around here and just really growing in all kinds of ways! As parents, Tony and I are learning every day new things and making discoveries about being parents along with Chip who is becoming more observant and curious every day. We constantly sing songs, talk about what is going on in the world and tell stories about silly things. We are always making funny noises, and silly faces to just catch a glimpse of joy and a sweet smile every chance we've got!

I'm getting ready to move my store for hopefully the LAST time but the move is going to be a fabulous one!!! I am moving to where my overhead is SIGNIFICANTLY less which means less stress on us all. We will be doing that the weekend of the 4th of October so keep us in your prayers! I'm hoping that it all goes smooth and that nothing but nice words come out of all of our mouths so let that be your prayer! Hoping that all of you are well and when i get fresh batteries in the camera, I'll definitely post the videos!

So we've been just hanging out lately and are doing really well! i took a video of Chip talking to Mr Frog and am going to make an attempt at posting it, but we'll see. I'm really excited about tonight because I'm going to go shopping for some "after baby"/"sassy mom" clothes! Totally excited to spend a gift card on me, not diapers! **selfish, i know... ** I'll let you know what i found later. hope all is well and we'll attempt to post the video now.

the weekend

So we had a really fun weekend! After finally getting over the trauma of the shots we were really able to enjoy the weekend. The day of his shots, i spoke too soon on my blog. When he woke up from sleeping, he SCREAMED at every second that his leg was even remotely being touched. He ended up with a quarter size bruise on his right thigh and he insisted on nursing on the hour EVERY hour until about 11:30 p.m. Mommy cried, baby cried, daddy cried... we were all just exhausted Friday night! Saturday rolled around and the resilience of babies continues to amaze us! Saturday morning, you would have never know anything was wrong the day before! I worked, TOny worked and we went to a friends house afterwards and watched the HORRIFIC auburn game. We left there mentally drained from watching all of that and went home and all went straight to bed. Sunday morning we woke up at the CRACK of dawn and drove to Birmingham for Dane's (our nephew's) 1st birthday!!! What a great time we had up there with the family and with him! He was soooooo good and just really enjoyed the cake AND icecream! We stopped in Millbrook and saw Howard and Dana on the way home, then headed back south. Boy was that an adventure! Poor Chip had been in a car all day and was just truly exhausted! We stopped and nursed him while we got gas right outside of montgomery and then had to stop 7 minutes down the road, take chip out, nurse him again, and walk outside of the car at TEN OCLOCK pm on the side of 231... S-C-A-R-Y!!! While we were doing this, a trooper pulled up and made sure all was ok and was so kind and looped along the medians of the highway 'til we pulled off. We got him in his seat, settled down, and i ended up in the back with him, which i usually don't do, but i sat there and we "talked" for a little bit and then we both ended up falling asleep while TOny drove the rest of the way home. Boy has home not been so nice to get to in a LOOOONG time and boy did we learn our lesson on just how much an infant can handle.We survived it all though and its all a part of this fabulous and exciting journey we're on called parenthood. needless to say, we wouldn't trade any of it for the world! One last thing... Chip is starting to really develop his back and neck muscles and try a LOT harder to pick up his head during tummy time! it wont be long... wow how time flies and how fast they grow.

2 month check up

Hey guys. So today was our 2 month check up and it went really well! Chip weighed in at a WHOPPING 9 lbs 2 oz and measured 22 inches long with a 39 1/2 circ. head. We got 3 shots and the rotovirus vaccine and all went really well! We are just so pleased and blessed beyond reason that it went well today! We've really gotta get on the "tummy time" mat more and work on our back strength but that will come with time. Hope this finds everyone just as well and we'll post again soon!
